Während die Grenzen in der Großregion geschlossen werden, bekommt die Kooperation zwischen den sechs Mitgliedsuniversitäten der Universität der Großregion eine neue Dimension – sowohl in praktischer als auch in wissenschaftlicher Hinsicht.
La situation exceptionnelle donne lieu à des idées créatives : Chacune de nos universités partenaires lance des initiatives très différentes pour faire face à la crise sanitaire. Nous les observons de près et les présenterons sur nos réseaux sociaux dans les jours à venir. Chaque mardi et jeudi, un nouvel article sera consacré à une idée inspirante. L'objectif est de partager ces différents projets avec les autres universités partenaires, mais aussi avec d'autres acteurs socioculturels et institutionnels afin que nous puissions nous inspirer mutuellement durant cette période de confinement.

Die nächste Ausgabe findet vom 2. bis zum 4. Juli 2020 an der Universität Lüttich statt, das Thema lautet „Mittlerfiguren und Übergänge“.
Das Projekt NHL-ChirEx ist das erste grenzüberschreitende medizinische Ausbildungsprojekt in der Großregion, das die Universitätskliniken und medizinischen Fakultäten der Universitäten an den Standorten Nancy, Homburg und Lüttich sowie das Strahlentherapiezentrum des Großherzogtums Luxemburg zusammenbringt. Ziel des Projekts ist es, zusätzliche Ausbildungsmodule in Chirurgie, Notfallmedizin und Strahlentherapie anzubieten.
HTS 2020, the 7th edition of the International Workshop on Numerical Modelling of High Temperature Superconductors, will be held in Nancy, France. Originally, it was supposed to take place from May 26th to 29th, 2020, but because of COVID-19 the event will be postponed to October 27th to 30th, 2020. The workshop is organized by the Group of Research in Electrical Engineering of Nancy (GREEN), a research Laboratory of Université de Lorraine. The symposium will take place in the premises of the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies located at Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy.

"Psycholinguistics in Flanders" (PiF) is an annual international conference that started in Flanders in 2002 and is dedicated to the psychology of language. This conference promotes Europe-wide and interdisciplinary scientific collaboration between young scientists who deal with neurological, cognitive, psychological or linguistic aspects of language processing and apply a variety of methodological approaches: from behavioral studies, neuroimaging, eye-tracking technologies to language modeling.
On December 5th and 6th, 2019 an international workshop covering a current trend in border research was held at the University of Luxembourg. Over 40 renowned border researchers attended the workshop, which had the goal of discussing approaches that allow for a more complex perspective on borders.
