An initiative to facilitate the mobility of researchers in the Greater Region
The aim of this funding scheme is to support two-month research stays for professors and post-doctoral researchers of all disciplines within the seven partner universities of the UniGR, thereby helping to strengthen scientific cooperation within the Greater Region.

Border Realities 2023/2024: Crises, Resistances, Silences – Perspectives from the Border and Borderlanders
Considering the prevailing inflation and commonplace usage of the term "crisis," the lecture series discusses in 2023-2024 situated and critical explorations of crisis from the perspectives of border scholars in geography, political sciences, cultural studies and anthropology.
The University of the Greater Region was invited to present the first outputs of its project "Leg-UniGR" at the 2nd Forum of European Universities Alliances, organised by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in Barcelona.
Representatives of the European Commission’s DG EAC and spokespersons of the pilot projects on European legal status for Alliances of Higher Education Institutions exchanged on the main objectives and added value of these initiatives. Project coordinator Eric Tschirhart exemplified #Leg_UniGR.

UniGR-CIRKLA, the network of researchers specialized on materials and metals in a circular economy, is developing an ambitious project to create the second Interdisciplinary Centre of Expertise of the University of the Greater Region.
For the first time after the launch of the UniGR-EurIdentity Certificate, project participants from the seven partner universities met for the 4th Transnational Meeting at the htw saar on 17 November 2022.
