UniGR doctorate label

UniGR doctorate label

What is the UniGR doctorate label?

The "European doctorate label of the University of the Greater Region" - or in short the "UniGR doctorate degree" - allows you to give your doctorate an international dimension without registering for a "cotutelle-de-thèse" programme. This is not a doctorate in the strict sense, i.e. no degree, but a sort of certificate that certifies the European dimension of a regular doctorate.

All doctoral students (with or without "cotutelles") of the UniGR partner universities can apply for this label. You will be awarded this label in addition to your doctorate if you meet the following conditions.

Please keep in mind that the procedures to obtain the label may differ from one partner university to another. We plead for your understanding.

What are the conditions for the award of a UniGR label?

The UniGR degree represents a single quality attribute of the six partner universities. To receive the label, specific criteria must be met within the framework of the regular doctorate, which are listed here: Conditions label UniGR (0,32 MB-PDF-EN)

Which procedure do I need to comply with?

To apply for the "European doctorate label of the University of the Greater Region", you have to contact to the UniGR officer of your home university.

The label is awarded in the form of a certificate which is signed by both, the president of the university awarding the degree and the president of the UniGR. This certificate is appended to the certificate as a separate document.

Who do I need to contact to obtain more information?

For more information please contact the UniGR officer of your university.
