Ecole doctorale transfrontalière LOGOS

École doctorale transfrontalière LOGOS EDT Logos Logo

Created in 2005 on the basis of a cross-border doctoral network that had existed since 2000, the LOGOS cross-border doctoral school brings together the doctoral structures in the humanities and social sciences of the Universities of Liège (B), Lorraine (F) (Ecole Doctorale Humanités nouvelles-Fernand Braudel), Luxembourg (L), Saarland (D), Trier (D) and Mannheim (D). Established under this name in 2011, it is one of the pilot projects of the University of the Greater Region.

LOGOS organises annual Doctoral Days, which give doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences from different countries the opportunity to present and discuss their current research. Voluntarily chosen for its inter- and transdisciplinary character, the annual theme is open to the most diverse practices and methods, while remaining linked to the notions of identity and interculturality that constitute the foundations of LOGOS.
