Robotix-Academy Seminar 2024 in Saarbrücken

From February 5 to 9, 2024, the annual Robotix-Academy seminar convened at ZeMA Saarbrücken, bringing together a diverse group of participants, including 20 Master's students, professors, and researchers from partner universities across the Greater Region: Université de Lorraine, Université de Liège, University of Luxembourg, and ZeMA Saarbrücken / Saarland University. This five-day seminar provided an immersive platform for students to engage in intensive industrial robotics training.

The comprehensive programme encompassed a variety of activities such as presentations, lectures, and exercises, incorporating simulation software and off-line programming within the realm of industrial robotics. Participants had the opportunity to acquire practical programming skills by working with multiple robots and devices sourced from the partner institutions. This hands-on experience allowed them to explore diverse perspectives on both software and hardware, gaining valuable insights. Additionally, the seminar provided information on upcoming trends and prospects in the field of industrial robotics, enhancing participants' understanding of the evolving landscape.

Throughout the week, students actively engaged in team-building exercises, fostering social interactions that aimed to enhance their teamwork, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, participants had the unique opportunity to visit Nemak Dillingen GmbH, gaining valuable insights into the company's production line and associated technologies.

The Robotix-Academy, established as a cross-border research cluster for industrial robotics under the Interreg V A Grande Région programme, serves the purpose of fostering synergies in both teaching and research across universities in the Greater Region. Once again, this year's cross-border block seminar received support from the University of the Greater Region through the UniGR Mobility Fund, further solidifying its commitment to advancing collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field.
