HTS 2020 - International Workshop in Nancy

HTS 2020 Modelling

HTS 2020, the 7th edition of the International Workshop on Numerical Modelling of High Temperature Superconductors, will be held in Nancy, France. Originally, it was supposed to take place from May 26th to 29th, 2020, but because of COVID-19 the event will be postponed to October 27th to 30th, 2020. The workshop is organized by the Group of Research in Electrical Engineering of Nancy (GREEN), a research Laboratory of Université de Lorraine. The symposium will take place in the premises of the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies located at Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy.

Starting in Nancy in June 2008 as a national workshop entitled “1er colloque de supraconductivité et calcul numérique”, the International Workshop on Numerical Modelling of High Temperature Superconductors was then held under the auspices of the HTS Modelling Workgroup and reach the international level.  This conference was organized in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2010, followed by Cambridge (UK, 2011), Barcelona (Spain, 2012)Bratislava (Slovakia, 2014)Bologna (Italy, 2016), and then Caparica (Portugal, 2018).

The UniGR HTS Modelling Workshop aims to bring together researchers specializing in physics, mathematics, and electrical engineering applied to new and existing computational methods, the development of modeling tools, the advanced use of simulation software and the design of superconductivity applications in the industrial environment.

The scientific and organizing committees are partly composed of researchers from University of Liege, Saarland University and Université de Lorraine. This workshop receives financial support by the UniGR Fund for scientific events.
