International Workshop “Borders as Border Complexities”

Atelier international « Les frontières comme Border Complexities »

On December 5th and 6th, 2019 an international workshop covering a current trend in border research was held at the University of Luxembourg. Over 40 renowned border researchers attended the workshop, which had the goal of discussing approaches that allow for a more complex perspective on borders. The workshop was a prelude to a two-year event series with German, French, and Luxembourgish partners and the financial support from the Franco-German University. These include the UniGR-Center for Border Studies with its partner universities in Luxembourg and Lorraine, the European Universities of Flensburg and Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris.
