Communiqué

“Border Studies – Towards a research network of excellence” - under this heading, the University of the Greater Region and its member universities presented the project “UniGR-Center for Border Studies” for the first time to the public at the University of Luxembourg on 24 October 2018. The project is funded by the INTERREG VA Greater Region program with 2 M € EFRD until 2020.

News

  • PhD students, postdocs, and early-career researchers – take note! After a successful launch in May, another edition of the UniGR event series "ECHO" will take place next spring, focusing on “Cognitive Neuroscience in the Greater Region.”

  • Alistair Plum, our UniGR guest professor, who is currently completing his guest stay at Trier University, is organizing a workshop on artificial intelligence and its ability to take cultural context into account when analyzing queries (“Cultural Reasoning”).

  • On 26 October, around fifty people attended the UniGR-Science Slam at the “Theater im Viertel” in Saarbrücken for an evening that offered a fresh and entertaining way to explore scientific topics. Four researchers from the UniGR partner universities captivated the audience by bringing their research to life through original slam performances on stage.
