The Käte Hamburger Center for Cultural Practices of Reparation (KHK CURE) at Saarland University is launching a new call for applications for a UniGR-Fellowship!
The UniGR-Fellowship offers postdoctoral researchers from UniGR partner universities the opportunity to join an international research team for a period of up to 12 months. Fellows will have the opportunity to pursue their own research project focusing on cultural practices of repair, while exchanging and collaborating with up to 11 other fellows at the Centre.
The Centre’s main objective is to develop a transmedial theory of cultural practices and processes of repair. By contributing to a reorientation of cultural studies, it generates new perspectives on individual and collective processes of repair in a globalised world.
The fellowship will take place during the Centre’s fourth year (October 2027 to September 2028) and will focus on the guiding theme “Things”, with research addressing one or more of the three key areas: History, Experience, and Nature.
Applications are open until 30 November 2026 to:
- researchers in cultural studies, the humanities or social sciences
- artists
who hold a doctoral degree.
