Studying and Teaching in the Greater Region

5 regions, 4 countries, 3 languages - infinite possibilities: That's what students of the seven partner universities within the network "University of the Greater Region" have to choose between. With their different assets, the member universities provide a variety of faculties, institutes and laboratories in the key areas of teaching and research.

The partner universities of the University of the Greater Region offer a wide range of cross-border study programmes in various domains such as social and human sciences, natural and engineering sciences. Students can benefit from a jointly chosen teaching offer leading to a double diploma or a joint degree at the end of certain study programmes. Two prominent examples are the trinational Master programms in Germanistic and in Border Studies.

Moreover, the UniGR allows students of all fields of the seven universities to attend lectures in any other partner university within the framework of the “UniGR student status”. This also includes the access to language lessons at the partner universities. For the preparation of an exchange semester in the Greater Region, the Language Centers of the six universities of Kaiserslautern, Liège, Lorraine, Luxembourg, Saarland and Trier have developed an online course, that is combined with on-site workshops in the Greater Region.

In addition, you will also be able to discover the experience that students have gained in these cross-border courses as well as in the context of UniGR-mobility.
