UniGR student at the University of Luxembourg
Which courses can I attend?
If you want to attend specific courses at the University of Luxembourg (with the option of taking examinations) or even spend a whole semester there (without intending to take a University of Luxembourg degree), you can enrol as a UniGR student. Enrolment is free and gives you access to the various services for students provided by the University of Luxembourg.
You should first choose your course(s). For courses on specific degree programmes, information about all Bachelor's and Master's programmes is available on the University of Luxembourg website. The University of Luxembourg has no general Course Catalogue.
It is advisable to contact the UniGR office (see contact) at the University of Luxembourg before enrolling, which will coordinate the admission to the chosen course(s) with the responsible persons. Use your first version of the Learning Agreement for this purpose.
In which language will my course take place?
In Luxembourg, most degree programmes are multilingual: French, German and/or English, and sometimes also Luxembourgish. The designation of the degree programme gives you an initial indication of the main teaching language. Nevertheless, you should check title and short description of each individual course to find out in which language it will take place.
Where will my course take place?
Depending on the faculty, the courses take place on one of the three campuses of the University of Luxembourg: Belval, Kirchberg or Limpertsberg.
Please note that the UniGR office at the University of Luxembourg is your first contact point to obtain information about whether your chosen courses are taking place, the dates of the lectures, the language of instruction and the venue.
NOTE: Courses of the following degree programmes are not open to UniGR visiting students:
- Master en Management de la Sécurité des Systèmes d'Information (Professionnel)
- Master in Accounting and Audit (Professionnel)

How can I take examinations and have my studies officially recognised?
The UniGR recommends you to sign a "Learning Agreement" in advance (see UniGR sample LA, 2.06 MB-PDF-EN) that complies with the requirements of your home university, to ensure that your studies and examination results are recognised. Please note that they are not automatically recognised.
If you would like to have the results of your studies and examinations certified in a Transcript of Records, you should send an email to unigr-info@uni.lu (link sends email) to request this.
The UniGR does not issue diplomas or certificates. However, it is possible to obtain a Mobility Certificate.
