Unter dem Titel „Border Studies: Auf dem Weg zu einem Exzellenzwissenschaftsnetzwerk“ präsentierte die Universität der Großregion das Projekt „UniGR-Center for Border Studies“ am 24. Oktober 2018 an der Universität Luxemburg erstmals der Öffentlichkeit. Das Projekt wird bis 2020 durch das Programm INTERREG VA Großregion mit rund 2 Mio. Euro EFRE-Mitteln gefördert.

Alistair Plum, our UniGR guest professor, who is currently completing his guest stay at Trier University, is organizing a workshop on artificial intelligence and its ability to take cultural context into account when analyzing queries (“Cultural Reasoning”).
On 26 October, around fifty people attended the UniGR-Science Slam at the “Theater im Viertel” in Saarbrücken for an evening that offered a fresh and entertaining way to explore scientific topics. Four researchers from the UniGR partner universities captivated the audience by bringing their research to life through original slam performances on stage.
