From 23 to 27 April 2018, the University of Luxembourg hosted its first International Staff Training Week. Employees of the partner universities in Europe and beyond were able to discuss collaborations, exchange best practices and network. The University of the Greater Region was also presented under the heading "Networks".
PhD students, postdocs, and early-career researchers – take note! After a successful launch in May, another edition of the UniGR event series "ECHO" will take place next spring, focusing on “Cognitive Neuroscience in the Greater Region.”
Alistair Plum, our UniGR guest professor, who is currently completing his guest stay at Trier University, is organizing a workshop on artificial intelligence and its ability to take cultural context into account when analyzing queries (“Cultural Reasoning”).
On 26 October, around fifty people attended the UniGR-Science Slam at the “Theater im Viertel” in Saarbrücken for an evening that offered a fresh and entertaining way to explore scientific topics. Four researchers from the UniGR partner universities captivated the audience by bringing their research to life through original slam performances on stage.
