The Improve-Stem project aims to develop an integrated set of tools necessary for the amplification of mesenchymal stem cells to promote their application in cell therapy in hospitals.
These tools will rely on the adoption of microbeads whose surface will be optimized to ensure a control of the adhesion of the cells and on the design of a bioreactor whose operating conditions will be adapted for the cultivation of adherent cells on microbeads.
The project officially began in january 2017 and will last for 3 years.
Students from the Greater Region spent the first week of February 2017 at the University of Liège to learn more about the human-robot cooperation.
In the frame of its international English-taught MD/PhD programme, a series of lectures, seminars and workshops is organized by Saarland University Faculty of Medicine (Homburg Campus) between March 2017 and July 2018.
Stefanie Fey, a graduate student of the trinational master study programme « Etudes franco-allemandes : communication et coopération transfrontalières » received on Janvier 24th, 2017 at the Goethe Institut in Nancy the first franco-german prize of the chancellery.
