6th Edition of the Literary Prize "Frontières"

The University of the Greater Region (UniGR) congratulates Marie Semelin, winner of the "Frontières" borders literary prize in 2026 for his novel "Les certitudes".

This work addresses the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a particularly nuanced and intelligent way, according to the jury, and invites readers to question our inherited certainties as well as different perspectives, whether temporal, political, or personal in nature.

Save the date!
The award ceremony will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the University Festive Hall, 11 Place Carnot, Nancy.

New in 2026:
This year, the prize is complemented by the short story competition “Écrire aux frontières”, open to students from all seven UniGR partner universities. The two winners of the student competition will also be announced at the ceremony.

The Literary Prize "Frontières", established in 2021 by the Université de Lorraine and the University of the Greater Region (UniGR), honors each year an outstanding French-language novel that explores the theme of “borders” in its various dimensions – geographical, social, symbolic, or imaginary.
