The UniGR is actively committed to promoting scientific collaboration and mobility within the Greater Region! A key initiative supported by the Marienburg Foundation is the "UniGR-Guest Professorship".
This cross-border cooperation in teaching and research allows (junior) professors and post-docs from UniGR partner universities to undertake short stays at a host university within the Greater Region.
Currently, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Lena Wetenkamp from Trier University is conducting research as a guest professor under this initiative at the Université de Lorraine. Together with Dr. Cécile Chamayou-Kuhn, she is exploring the topic “Gender as Border- and Bodytexturing.” She shares her first impressions as follows:
"My stay in Metz gives me the opportunity to approach questions of borders and interculturality not only theoretically, but also to experience them firsthand. The exchange with new colleagues, the discovery of different academic and scientific systems, and the transition between German and French are all positive challenges for me."
Curious? Next month, a second call for applications for short stays in 2025 will be published on our website.
