Poster PiF 2020

"Psycholinguistics in Flanders" (PiF) is an annual international conference that started in Flanders in 2002 and is dedicated to the psychology of language. This conference promotes Europe-wide and interdisciplinary scientific collaboration between young scientists who deal with neurological, cognitive, psychological or linguistic aspects of language processing and apply a variety of methodological approaches: from behavioral studies, neuroimaging, eye-tracking technologies to language modeling.

At this conference, doctoral students and postdocs can present their data and methodological contributions and receive feedback from experienced and high-ranking researchers.

Traditionally, Pif is jointly organized by three universities in Belgium and neighboring countries. This year the Faculty of Social Sciences from the department " Psycholinguistik und Sprachentwicklung “ (Psycholinguistics and Language Development) of the TU Kaiserslautern has the honor to host the event on May 7-8, 2020 together with the University of Liège (Belgium) and Saarland University (Germany). The scientific committee of the three cooperating universities will select presentations based on anonymously reviewed abstracts. There will also be an introductory workshop on "Understanding Publication Processes" on May 6, 2020, which will be held by Shanley Allen, Professor of Psycholinguistics at the Technical University (TU) Kaiserslautern.

All participating young researchers will greatly benefit from the event by taking advantage of the opportunity to establish new interdisciplinary and international collaborations and to exchange ideas with specialists in the field of Language and Cognition. Further information regarding the event can be found on the website of TUK. This year, the conference is sponsored by UniGR through its Fund for scientific events.
