This fall, another edition of the UniGR event series “ECHO” will take place: the symposium "ECHO 2026 – Sustainability and the Circular Future with UniGR-CIRKLA".
When? September 14th and 15th, 2026
Where? Saarland University – Saarbrücken, Germany
The event is organized by Saarland University in collaboration with the Interreg project UniGR-CIRKLA and is especially conceived for early career researchers (Master’s students, PhD candidates, Postdocs...) from the seven UniGR partner universities.
In different program sessions, researchers, practitioners, educators, and policymakers come together to discuss the latest developments in circular economy and sustainability. Topics range from the fundamentals of circular materials and systems to resource-efficient design and innovative business models, as well as global legal and societal challenges in the context of sustainable transformation.
Current results and case studies from the UniGR-CIRKLA project provide concrete insights for a shared understanding of different strategic approaches and areas of action. In addition, individual contributions from participants enrich the program and give early career researchers the opportunity to present their own research projects and exchange ideas with colleagues their respective disciplines and other related fields.
Registration deadline: 30 April 2026
Participation is free of charge!
