As part of his UniGR Guest Professorship, Dr Lasse Sinkkonen invites you to the workshop “Epigenetic underpinnings of sex differences in neurodegeneration.”
Dr Lasse Sinkkonen, our UniGR guest professor from the University of Luxembourg, currently visiting the University of Saarland with Prof. Dr Julia Schulze-Hentrich, is organizing this interdisciplinary event together with his host. The focus will be on the epigenetic mechanisms underlying sex-specific differences in neurodegenerative diseases.

The workshop brings together researchers from the Greater Region who are interested in the molecular mechanisms of sex-specific differences in the central nervous system and related diseases. Guest speakers from the University of Luxembourg and the University of Saarland will present their ongoing research projects and current knowledge on functional differences between men and women, discussing implications for disease onset and progression.
The event will conclude with a discussion round aiming to foster new collaborative research projects in this field.
