EurIdentity Certificate: 5th Transnational Meeting at University of Liège

More than 130 students from the 7 partner universities of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR) participate in the joint certificate on the European Union

The test-run of the Erasmus+ project EurIdentity Certificate is going ahead with great success. The University of the Greater Region with its 7 partner universities is committed to educate new generations of Europeans.

The additional qualification EurIdentity Certificate enables all students of the Greater Region, regardless of their academic discipline, to acquire a basic knowledge of Europe and intercultural competences. On the one hand, the EurIdentity Certificate consists of the online video module "EurIdentity Basic Level: Foundations of Europe" with basics on European topics. Building on this, students get a deeper insight with the "EurIdentity: Advanced Level" and also gain experience in international exchange. What is particularly exciting about the certificate is the diversity of the course selection: the online video module was jointly designed by 12 professors and lecturers from 7 partner universities, and the Advanced Level consists of lectures and seminars from all seven UniGR universities.

The high level of student interest in the wide range of European topics can be seen from the over 130 registrations from UniGR partner universities. Finally, about 40 students participated in the Basic Module exam in early March 2023. In the next step, the participating students will demonstrate their intercultural competences by preparing cross-border and cross-university group work. After successful completion, the students can prove their acquired competences with a certificate on the international labour market.

In order to secure the future of the Erasmus+ project and make it even more attractive for students, project participants from the seven partner universities met on 23 March 2023 at the University of Liège. This face-to-face meeting serves as a general evaluation of the project. In the form of a workshop, the participants evaluate the project with the aim of making the EurIdentity Certificate even more attractive for students.
