On 20 November 2021, students and employees from the seven UniGR partner universities competed in the first ever e-sport tournament organised by UniGR and fought for the title of the "UniGR Rocket League Tournament - Battle of the Seven".
The tournament revolved around the video game "Rocket League" and was with more than 100 participants a complete success. After more than 5 hours of turbulent driving fun and exciting matches, the team "FC Azelios" from the Université de Lorraine came out on top and claimed the first prize. Second place went to the team "LS Vagos" from Saarland University and third place went to the mixed team "Siuuuuuuuuu" with players from the Université de Lorraine, the University of Luxembourg and Saarland University.
The tournament was streamed live on the platform twitch.tv, where the video will be available until 27.11.2021.
The event was organised in cooperation with eSports KL and supported by OutdoorActive and the TU Kaiserslautern.
