The University of the Greater Region (UniGR) invites to the first online event of its interdisciplinary center of expertise UniGR-CIRKLA on the 1st of June 2021.
The programme:
10:00 - 12:30: Public event about the scientific, economic and technological challenges of the circular economy of metals and materials in the Greater Region in the context of the European Green Deal
The invited speakers will discuss the following subjects during two panels:
- Les stratégies régionales de déploiement de l’économie circulaire / Regionale Strategien zum Einsatz der Kreislaufwirtschaft
- Les communautés de l’innovation : Piliers d’une économie circulaire / Innovationsgemeinschaften als Träger einer Kreislaufwirtschaft
The event in the morning of June 1 is open to the public and will be held bilingually (German, French) with simultaneous interpretation.

14:00 – 16:30: Scientific workshops for an internal exchange between researchers of the UniGR partner universities about the following topics:
- Materials & Product Design
- Buildings as Material Banks
- Urban Mining & Recycling
Afterwards, a plenary co-creation workshop is organised to outline joint projects.
The afternoon workshops will be held in English.
